VCB celebrates Grand Opening in Falls Church
On Saturday, June 13, 2009, Virginia Commerce Bank celebrated the Grand Opening of its 27th branch location in Falls Church. Residents of the Falls Church community enjoyed great music, food and family fun. Several lucky attendees won free yoga sessions from Body and Brain Yoga of Falls Church, great VCB gear and over $3,500 in cash prizes from VCB.
FDIC extends increased $250,000 insurance coverage through December 2013
CDARS $250,000 FDIC Increment Change
Beginning May 27, 2009, we will alter the maximum size of the placement increments for CDARS deposits to make them consistent with the new coverage limit. Henceforth, CDs placed through CDARS will be placed in amounts up to $250,000. However, all CDs scheduled to mature after December 31, 2013 will continue to be placed with Network Members in amounts no larger than $100,000. At present, this includes 5-year maturities.
